Saving to Google Drive degraded in Campus Computing Sites and Virtual Sites

Documents saved to directly to Google Drive on Campus Computing Sites and Virtual Sites computers may not sync. Kumo is a tool that allows users to directly access cloud storage including, Google Drive, from Campus Computing Sites and Virtual Sites Computers. Due to an issue with Kumo, updates to documents are not currently synching to Google Drive. Until this issue is resolved, customers should not save documents directly to Google Drive and instead upload them via the web browser.

ITS has an open incident with the Kumo developers who are investigating the problem.

Effective 11:30AM 11/9/18 Google Drive has been disabled in Kumo, so saving to Google Drive via the K drive will no longer display as an option on Sites and Virtual Sites computers. Users can continue to use Kumo to save to Box.

11:46 AM Kumo vendor has responded 'we are working on it to fix this. will update you soon.'

2:00 PM - Kumo vendor is still working on a fix, awaiting a response back about resolution.

4:09 PM - The Kumo vendor is still working on a resolution but currently does not have an estimate on completion.

4:45 PM - The vendor is working on the problem but it's not estimated to be fixed until Monday.

10:00 AM 11/12/18 - No change from the previous update, the vendor is still working on the resolution.

2:11 PM 11/12/18 - The Kumo vendor is currently working with Google to determine the problem.

9:00 AM 11/13/18 - The vendor is still diagnosing the problem and is working with Google for resolution.

2:30 PM 11/13/18 - Vendor has communicated that they are still working on a resolution and are investigating bringing in a third party developer to fix the issue.

8:47 AM 11/14/18 - Vendor has made progress with getting some files to sync, they are continuing to work towards a solution.

4:34 PM 11/14/18 - Vendor has released a fix for the Google Drive problem, we are currently testing to confirm everything is working.

9:56 AM 11/15/18 - An updated Kumo client has been deployed and the Google Drive service within Kumo has been enabled.
