Container Service: slow connections to external services

Issue Symptoms: Intermittent issues

Applications running in the Container Service-AWS cluster may experience slow connections to services external to the cluster, whether they be on-campus resources or general internet services.

Customers can work-around this issue by modifying the deployment configuration of affected applications using the instructions found in this note. If you experience the issue and are having difficulty implementing the work-around, please contact 4-Help. Container Service personnel will help assist with working around this issue.

The Container Service staff will update the production AWS cluster on Saturday, August 17th at 11pm to resolve this issue for all customers.

Comments:

Software has been updated. Applications running on the cluster should connect quickly to external services.

 

To accommodate fixing an issue found during testing, the update to the production AWS cluster has been moved back to Saturday, August 17th at 11pm.

 

The Container Service staff will update the production AWS cluster on Thursday, August 15th at 5am to resolve this issue for all customers.
