-------------------------

On Oct. 28, between 5-8am, we will be upgrading the software on network equipment at EECS, FXB, Space Research Building, GG Brown, Dow, Duderstadt Center, MMRI, Bonisteel, and Lurie Bell Tower. This will require a reboot of the switches, causing them to be unavailable during the actual reboot. This will take down any wired and wireless availability during the reboot. This includes, but is not limited to, desktop and laptop computers, printers, and VOIP phones.

This will only impact UofM networks, no cellular networks will be affected.

Who is Impacted? Users at EECS, FXB, Space Research Building, GG Brown, Dow, Duderstadt Center, and Lurie Bell Tower

Next Update: Oct. 28, 9 am

This is to upgrade the software on the switches at these sites.

All switches were back in service before 8:00 except some in EECS.  Network service in some parts of EECS remained down until about 9:45.  All services are restored now.
