Issue Symptoms: Outage
ITS Engineering and UMnet will be replacing the Distribution Layer (DL) switches located in the North Campus Research Complex Buildings 10 & 520.
A pair of new Cisco DL switches will be installed in the buildings prior to the cutover date and then connected to the new 100G core backbone.
On the day of the cutover, FSU will transfer all the endpoint connections from the old DL switches to the new DL switches which have been populated with configuration information via automation.
The actual work is expected to take up to 3 hours with a portion of the maintenance window reserved for testing.

9/20/23@7:15 am - The ITS Engineering/UMnet team has run into an unforeseen issue during the DL migration process and is currently troubleshooting the problem.
9/20/23@8:00 am - Troubleshooting continues so the maintenance window will be extended past the 8 am planned conclusion.
9/20/23@8:20 am - The team has decided to rollback the changes and return operations to the original DL.
9/20/23@ 8:45 am - The rollback has been completed and this maintenance has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
